It was weird seeing people walking in the middle of the street without a major event going on. But, the first day of having a pedestrian-friendly Times Square was a bit uneventful. It was a sunny day, in the 70s, and folks were sitting on plastic chairs that I’m guessing were put out by the city. A couple of bands were playing too, but it didn’t make me want to sit and hang out for awhile. But, in the coming weeks, it will transform and that will be interesting to see.
